Charles F. Mills, 56, of Carmichaels, Greene county, died in the Veterans'
Hospital, Aspinwall, Thursday morning, June 10, 1937, at 8:20 o'clock following
a two weeks' illness with complication of diseases. He was born at Highlands,
Pa., in 1880 but spent much of his early life in Fayette county, removing to
Carmichaels 20 years ago where he became one of the best known mechanics and
garage men in the community.
He served three years in Cuba during the Spanish-American war as a member of
Battery D, Second Heavy Artillery. He was a member of the National Rifle
association and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post of Carmichaels.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Catherine; four children, Mrs. Raymond Randolph
and William Mills of Carmichaels; Davis Mills of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Hannah
Leichliter of Keisterville. Two brothers, William ????
