The cemetery is located on Cackler Rd across from the hugs
barn and next to a next to a white corner house on Seasons
Rd. There is a cyclone fence around it and you can see a
small grass/dirt track road that leads into it. It was
established in 1829 by Christian Cackler. The City of
streetsboro maintains the site and is in fair conditions.
The first known burial was in 1826 for Mr.Cackler's son
Edward and the last known burial was a child Arthur Lewis in
1885. The stones were read in rows south to north starting
in the southwest corner. Many of these are illegible. To
help decipher the illegible stones a 1931, inscription
copied by G.E. Mettler of the Western Reserve historical
Society. ROWS 5 & 6 seem repetitious, but they are listed in
the Volume and were copied as such. Pictures may be added at
a later date. Readings from newspaper articles stated that
Christian Cackler Jr served under Commodore Oliver H.Perry
in the Battle of Lake Erie. His father, served under the
leadership of General George Washington in 1776, and was a
solider in the Revolutionary War.
