Tombstone Photographs

The Foxton Cemetery, also known as Foxton Junction Cemetery and Beaver Ranch Cemetery, was established as a community cemetery in the mid to late 1870s.  It is located south of the town of Conifer.  The first burial, according to gravestone inscripitions, appears to have been in 1879, with the last burial being 1891.  The cemetery is abandoned.--Dennis Bailey

Directions:  Go west on Highway 285 from Denver.  After passing the stop light at Highway 73, after approximately ½ mile, Kennedy Gulch Road will be on your right.  Continue on Highway 285 for approximately ¼ of a mile.  The cemetery will be on your right at the top of a small rise at the intersection of South Foxton Road.--Dennis Bailey (MAP)
