| According to Joe Manners, guardian of the cemetery, Clemente CHACON was shot to | |||||||||||||||
| death by a fellow worker at the cement plant where he worked because he had on a | |||||||||||||||

| There is a very nice man named Joe Manners who lives near the cemetery and apparently | |||||||||||||||
| has taken it upon himself to be the guardian of the graveyard. The complete cemetery was | |||||||||||||||
| totally desecrated about 15 years ago by some local boys. They broke every headstone and | |||||||||||||||
| tore up all the crosses. A local group has done what they can to restore it. According to Joe, | |||||||||||||||
| the only original records of the burials were maintained by a mortuary in Victorville, and it | |||||||||||||||
| was destroyed by fire many years ago. | |||||||||||||||
