I am beginning to research my Hall family; my brother began the study over twenty years ago and was unable to locate our ancestor Pinkn(e)y Hall. Possibly you may recognize some of the family members of the ancestral line. I would appreciate any comments that you might have. We know that Pinkn(e)y Hall was born in South Carolina probably in the early 1800’s. His wife was Jane Alexander Hughes (b. 1808, SC; d. 1896, AL). Her tombstone ( located in Pleasant Cemetery, Grove Oak, Dekalb Co. , AL) reads “Wife of Pinkny”. His name could also have been Samuel Pinkny Allen.
