Burlington Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in the Longmont area. Sarah Greenly, aged five years, and her brother Elmer, aged two, were the first burials in this cemetery in 1864. To get to this cemetery from I-25 take the Longmont exit west. The cemetery is about two and a half miles southwest of the town near the Junior High School. The address is 1400 S. Sunset Street.— Linda Wommack, From the Grave; a Roadside Guide to Colorado's Pioneer Cemeteries (Caxton Press, Caldwell, ID 1998), p. 218.
